Connecting to your new Windows VPS

If you just ordered a new Windows VPS and you're struggling to log in, this article is for you! It's just few simple steps.

  1. Open 'Remote Desktop Connection' on your PC.
  2. Into the 'Computer' field, enter the IP address of your VPS. You can find this in an email called "New Server Information", which you will have received after your VPS has been activated.
  3. An authentication window should appear. Select 'More choices', then 'Use a different account'. Your first account will have the username Administrator. You can find the password in the aforementioned email titled "New Server Information" as well. Optionally, you can tick 'Remember me'.
  4. If a window like this pops up, it is completely safe to proceed.
  5. You're connected!
